This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Ideas LLC and its product TrueConnect ("TrueConnect", "we", "us", or "our") collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our hiring and onboarding platform, including when you apply for a position, complete the hiring and onboarding process, or otherwise interact with our services (the "Services"). Please read it carefully.

1. Who we are

TrueConnect is a hiring and onboarding platform operated by Tech Ideas LLC. Tech Ideas LLC also operates other platforms and brands (for example, OfferMile and other Tech Ideas products). This Policy applies to TrueConnect and, where it references the "Tech Ideas family," to information handled across our affiliated platforms as described below.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

Information you provide

• Identifiers and contact information: name, email address, mobile phone number, and mailing address.
• Application and employment information: work eligibility, availability, employment and licensing details, and the answers and documents you submit during your application, interviews, and onboarding.
• Sensitive information where required for the hiring process, which may include government identifiers (such as a Social Security Number) and identity documents. We collect this only where necessary and handle it as described in Section 8.
• Communications and preferences: messages you exchange with us, and your communication choices, including whether you opted in to SMS and email.

Information collected automatically

• Technical and usage data: log data, device and browser information, and how you interact with the Services, used to operate and secure the platform.

Information from third parties

• Information from the hiring company you applied to, and from service providers that support hiring (for example, identity verification or background-check providers), where applicable and with appropriate authorization.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you (when you apply, communicate with us, or complete onboarding), automatically (through your use of the Services), and from third parties involved in the hiring process, as described above.

4. How we use your information

• To process your job application and guide you through interviews, onboarding, and related steps.
• To communicate with you about your application and process — by email, in-app messages, and (if you opted in) SMS text messages, including verification codes, interview scheduling and reminders, onboarding steps, and status updates.
• To verify your identity and phone number, and to facilitate background checks and other hiring requirements with your authorization.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, provide a consistent experience across our products, and develop new features.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. SMS / text messaging

If you opt in, message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. For the full SMS terms, see our Terms & Conditions.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

• With the hiring company you applied to, so they can review your application and manage your hiring process.
• With service providers and sub-processors that help us operate the Services — for example, hosting, email and SMS delivery, identity verification, and background-check providers — who are bound to protect your information and use it only to provide their services to us.
• Within the Tech Ideas family, as described in Section 7.
• For legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or the platform.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. Sharing within the Tech Ideas family

TrueConnect is operated by Tech Ideas LLC, which also operates other platforms and brands (such as OfferMile and other Tech Ideas products). We may share your information among Tech Ideas LLC and its affiliated platforms and brands in order to operate, provide, secure, and improve our services, to offer you a consistent experience across our products, to support hiring and onboarding across our platforms, and for the internal business purposes described in this Policy. Our affiliated platforms are required to handle your information consistent with this Policy.

Important exception: as stated in Section 5, your mobile/SMS opt-in information and SMS consent are never shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Background checks & sensitive information

Some positions require background checks and the collection of sensitive information (such as a Social Security Number and identity documents). Where this applies, we collect and use it only with your authorization and as needed for the hiring process, and we store sensitive information using encryption. Background checks may be subject to additional disclosures and authorizations required by applicable law, which will be provided to you separately as part of that process.

9. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, support your hiring process, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of certain sensitive data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to those who need it.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You can also opt out of SMS at any time (reply STOP) and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below; we will respond as required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information.

12. Children's privacy

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
